20 January – 26 February 2016
Thank you for your interest in First Steps into Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (#fslt16). Welcome to the course.
These “Joining instructions” should help you to get started.
Because this is an open course, available to anyone to participate, there may be some differences you will experience from more ordinary “closed” face to face or distance learning/online courses. Bear with us and we will try to make your way in as smooth as possible.
There will be a brief induction and orientation period from 20 January. The first substantial week of work, week 1 starts on Monday 25 January 2016. The course will run for five weeks and concludes on Friday 26 February 2016. Final assessment is due on 4 March
Please go to the course site, here:
Please use the induction period to create an account on the OpenBrookes site and enrol yourself on the course.
Brookes colleagues, please note this is not the main university Moodle site. If you have not done an open course at Brookes, you will need to create an account and then enroll on the course. You may use any email address you wish. You do not need to use a student ID for the open online courses.
You must be able to log in and find your way around by Monday, 25 January 2016.
We will be hosting a live webinar to welcome you to the course on Monday 25 January 2016 at 13:00 GMT. This will be recorded for those who cannot attend at the time. This is when the activity starts. Everyone is welcome and the webinar will be a chance to ask the tutors any questions you have about the course.:
If you need help please email email@example.com we will do our best to resolve your queries.
Best Wishes and we look forward to working with you.
